Love Never Fails International exists to provide impoverished children and their families a hand up, not a hand out to bring about social, economic, and spiritual rebirth through assistance, tutoring, and mentoring. Your donation will help us fulfill this very important mission.
Below is a brief description of our programs:
After school programs - The primary work of LNFI is our after school programs. LNFI operates seven different programs: four elementary programs and three middle school programs. Our programs currently operate in Birdville ISD and Fort Worth ISD schools. Our Birdville ISD elementary programs allow children a safe place to be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with occasional field trips and other activities on other days. Our Fort Worth ISD programs operate two hours a day, two days a week each. The middle school programs meet once a week during lunch and once a month for a special activity. Volunteers attend the centers daily to mentor, love, and encourage the children. The LNFI students, who are nominated by their teachers, principals, and counselors, are involved in meaningful activities during their time there. 89% of the approximately 90 children in our programs are from low-income families, and are eligible for free or reduced lunches, while all of them are at-risk. Activities include character development, social skills training, team-building activities, reading activities, math enrichment, time management training, tutoring help with homework, TAKS tutoring, mentoring, guest speakers, sports, games, and an afternoon snack.
Middle School Programs - Our middle school programs provide students encouragement and support with one-on-one mentors. These mentors visit their matched students once a week during lunchtime and play enrichment games with them. Once a month on a Friday, the middle school programs come together for a special activity.
One-on-One Mentorships - Most of the children in our programs are also matched with one-on-one mentors, who spend time with them outside the center on a regular basis. We strive to have these one-on-one mentorships continue on as the students enter middle school and on into high school.
Family Socials - Family activities are held during the year as well, so as to reach the entire family unit. Through encouragement and fellowship, we know we can make a change "From the Heart to the Home," which is the name of this initiative. LNFI has hosted several family socials over the last two school years, and there has been a tremendous turnout of families that attend. Families are given time to eat, relax and fellowship with the directors and mentors who love working with their children every day. These socials are a wonderful time to connect with these families and provide them with love, hope, and encouragement.
Field Trips and Special Events (Higher Education Focus) - Love Never Fails International has a higher education focus in all activities. Activities which highlight the importance of higher education are field trips and guest speakers. The children are taken on monthly field trips to corporations, where their view of the world and their futures is broadened. Suddenly, they begin to see themselves pursuing a higher education in order to have advanced careers. Guest speakers from various corporations visit the centers periodically. These speakers may speak about the importance of staying in school, the dangers of smoking, or wise money management.
International Work - Love Never Fails International is currently operating a children's home in Reynosa, Mexico. This amazing facility includes a shelter home, a daycare facility, and family center. Read more about our international work under the "Reynosa, Mexico" section.
